As with all scraps there is not enough of one color, so I started piecing blocks so I could get a consistent pinwheel. I like the look of the pinwheel being one color and don’t think you really see the piecing.
I’m cleaning out the bins of scraps and making room for more fabric. I cut all the pieces into 2″ width strips, and sewed a blue and yellow strip together. Then press to the blue.Back to the cutting table. Lay four layers one on top of the other and square off the edges. Now cut your strip set into 3 1/2″ squares.Sew the four squares into a pinwheelNow the decision is how to put the blocks together. Seventy blocks are needed to put it on point. Here is on point and the other example is a straight set. Which do you like?
Stay tuned for the big decision. Right now I need about 30 more blocks to finish!! And would you believe I still have enough scraps to complete those 30 blocks.
